Carnivals
It should come as no surprise that the new one from Carnivals is absolutely brilliant. The soft chimes and wavering synths pad out an almost angelic selection of vocal samples, adding a sweetness to the accompanying bouncing beat that kind of encourages those memories of 5AM sunrises and that sense of dazed happiness that every so often comes with them. Take a listen to Yearn below:

Carnivals - the Sheffielf producer whose Humility EP was one of my ultimate favourites of last year - has released a couple of new tracks which exceed anything he's ever done before. Stream Kindness below; you're in for an elegantly hypnotic 4 and-a-half minutes:

Carnivals
The last time I wrote about Carnivals, I said his music was intelligent and beautiful. I stand by those words fully listening to the stuff coming from his forthcoming Humility EP, so I'd like to introduce you to the second cut Last Off the Lake. The lulling samples of the vocals and the guitar are quite perfect, and when that percussion kicks in around 2:25 it's a pretty special feeling; euphoric actually. Stream below:

Sheffield-based Carnivals is back after the Mavi Kara EP with a double-sided single - quite a promising little surprise. For anybody who hasn't heard Carnivals before, get to know; rather minimalist but intelligent and beautiful. Grab a free DL of the new single here:
