North Londoner X¥Z recently dropped his Solace EP, 20 minutes of atmospheric, blissed out electronic music inspired by the likes of J Dilla & Four Tet which is consistently good from start to finish. I think this is the first time in a long time where I've struggled picking my favourite cuts to feature, so I thouroughly recommend heading over to Bandcamp and stream this thing from back to front.

WaMoo Papez

I think I just received the nicest submission related email ever - flying spaghetti monsters were mentioned, good job I liked the music that came with it otherwise things would have been pretty awkward. So I'd like to introduce you to WaMoo Papez,this is actually his fourth full-length and it's called We Float.. I think it's instrumental hip-hop with an inspired twist, I mean if someone told me like 2 days ago that I'd be listening to a hip-hop beat that samples Beirut's A Sunday Smile I'd have been like what are you crazy? But it's pretty cool, through the whole album there's so much experimentation with different sounds and effects that go way beyond your typical J Dilla basic beat inspired album, so I'd definitely recommend it, plus it's completely free to download here.
