Purity Ring

Here's another one from the debut album which is released next month. DON'T FORGET. I actually prefer this to Odebear, it reminds me a lot more of earlier releases like Ungirthed and Lofticries, and they're like two of the best songs ever. Stream below and see what you think:

Purity Ring

Much to my excitement, Purity Ring announced earlier this month that their debut LP will be released on the 24th of July via 4AD. When I think of Purity Ring I always think of how much I love them, I'd never usually contemplate using the word 'love' with regards to a band I've only ever heard 3 songs of prior to this track. But you have to love them, cause they're music can do this weird thing with your mind where you feel ecstatically creeped out listening to their weird glitch-stepping (forgive me for inventing/using that term), something which I doubt could ever be replicated in any other form. So the track below is called Obedear, unfortunately the download limit has maxed out on soundcloud, but there's a free DL link here (via Pitchfork).

Vice Issue Launch - November

If you live in the UK, Vice is probably hitting up a city near you next week with the launch parties for the latest issue. This month is a rather special one as 3 new cities have been added, now giving us the grand total of 6 to choose from. Also, an ILNL favourite; Purity Ring, will be doing a live set along with other acts such as Walls & Theme Park. Details about dates, line-ups and locations are all below, plus click here to collect some free drinks tokens. See you there.

BRAIDS//Purity Ring

I woke up to a nice track my BRAIDS this morning. This is part of a split 7" with Purity Ring, who're releasing the already posted 'Belispeak' as their contribution to the record.

BRAIDS are releasing a track called 'Peach Wedding'. Like most of their previous tracks, this one has an interesting sound - disjointed but pretty. A completely different sound to Purity Ring, it'll be interesting to see how they compliment one another on vinyl. Click on the link below to listen to the track.

Braids - Peach Wedding

The joint venture is out later this Autumn on 7", and the digital releases of each track are already available. In the mean time, stream here & have a listen to a personal favourite of mine by each artist.

PURITY RING - Ungirthed (<<<< Finally figured out how to use the media player!)

Listen

I've just arrived back home, I've been travelling all day. My brain can't really work out what to type, so I'll let the music do the talking. But I've still picked out a few special bits and bobs you'll probably enjoy. Take a listen right here:
