Nosaj Thing

Given the absence of technology in my life this past week, I've only just had the chance to listen to this and my oh my it's big. Try is taken from Nosaj Thing's second album Home which is coincidentally out today, I'm therefore dedicating the rest of the day to listening to it. Stream below & enjoy:

Toro y Moi

Here's something new from Toro y Moi, it's insane.  The R&B twist on So Many Details is perfect; I think it's genuinely impossible for a Toro song to ever sound regurgitated or unoriginal and that's why every time he releases something I'm immediately head over heels. The track comes after the announcement that Chaz is to release a follow up LP to 2011's Underneath the Pine in January. Stream below:

Les Sins

Les Sins is Chaz Bundick, Chaz Bundick is Toro y Moi, obviously this is going to be ridiculously good. It's a little world away from Toro, it's quite housey for a start.  But there is just as much intelligence and brilliance behind Les Sins as in any other Toro project.  The below tracks will be released as a double-sided single later this month under Caribou's Jiaoulong label (a perfect fit).

Renny Wilson

There is a sax solo in this. That is all I need to say really. But I think Renny Wilson may be the bastard child of Caribou & Toro y Moi...perhaps? I never like to make musical comparisons in fear of angry responses though. The song below is called By & By, you can download it completely free via his Bandcamp after you've reenacted the music video below. He'll be releasing his full length mid-May, very suitably titled 'sugarglider'. Jams for days.

Toro '09

Toro y Moi has pieced together a new boxset. Drawing primarily on an old tour release, 'June 2009' focusses on a pivotal period in his work - when Toro Y Moi really came into being.Available from April 23rd, 'June 2009' will be available on 7 inch vinyl box set / CD / digital formats.
