Wolf Bones

A big thank you to Sound Injections for putting me onto this super laid back Wolf Bones track. It's kind of reminiscent of XXYYXX, the way there's so many delicate little textures of sound falling on top of each other, and those vocals weaving through, close your eyes for a second and it feels like you're floating. Nothing seems more apt for Sunday listening than this:

xxyyxx

This is like the whole reason I love xxyyxx. I feel like I'm floating, partly because the title of the song is actually Love Cloud, but really it's a pretty fitting name cause it's one of those 'life is so great' songs. Like if everybody listened to stuff like this more often I'm pretty sure the world would be a much better place. Anyway, the track is taken from Dolor which was released just yesterday, available over at Bandcamp on a 'name your price' basis. So go get it & enjoy:

XXYYXX

Things just seem to keep getting better & better for Orlando's Marcel Everett(XXYYXX), he's just dropped a new self-titled album, his sophomore follow up to "Still Sound". This time the whole chillwave tag has been dropped for a much darker sound which fits in a lot more comfortably with the likes of Salem or Clams Casino. This is a release which not only exemplifies a matured sound, but pretty solidly cements respect for Marcel's music.

I don't like to single artists out for their age, but this guys 16, and the sheer quality on this record really outstands alot of what I've heard from producers double his age - give him 10 years and this guy's going to take over the world or something.

Definite highlights are the beautiful 'About You' and 'Never Leave'. I have to hand it to Relief in Abstract, it seems that every release they have on the cards is pretty special, I strongly urge you to download as much as you can. You'll never regret it, so pick up XXYYXX's album below - name your price via Bandcamp! Enjoy.

Ruddyp // XXYYXX Split

XXYYXX and Ruddyp just dropped their split EP via Relief in Abstract. These two are paired perfectly for a split release, with an unparalleled skill for manipulating vocal samples and producing some of the most glorious beats, the tracks flow so well into eachother and their styles compliment one another to a tee - something which isn't always the case when splits are put out. Below I've picked out my personal stand-outs for a free DL, but head over to the bandcamp site to grab the rest of the EP absolutely free:

XXYYXX - Metals

Ruddyp - Good Food

Indescribable

There isn't really any general theme going on here, these tracks probably don't even belong in the same post. But my inbox has been filling up over the past few days with stuff like this and it's pretty special. These tracks have been adding a bit of spice to wintery flu suffering over the past couple of days, so go on and dance those wintery blues away to some indescribable songs that describe an indescribable mood:
