Phantom

This is Finnish duo Phantom, and this track of theirs is simply phenomenal. Kisses is their second single, having been premiered over on The Guardian today I'm pretty amazed it hasn't yet spread like wildfire across the internet. You can grab a free download below, also listen out for the daring Erik Satie sample half-way through - wow.

Vondelpark

It's taken me so long to find a track worthy enough of being placed after the previous Maribou State post. But here it is - it's ridiculous. I don't think I need to explain how I am in complete adoration of Vondelpark anymore because there's already about 5 posts somewhere on here that all say the same thing. Anyway, stream the new track Dracula below - it's the first single to be taken from the 2013 LP Seabed (R & S) and it'll blow you away:

WALL

I'd like to draw your attention to London-based producer/vocalist WALL, her debut single Magazine was released last week via BCS Records and for some reason it completely passed me by. It's ridiculously good - dark in parts, melancholic in others - her voice matches her production skills perfectly. Stream below:

The xx

You´ve probably heard it already, but just incase you haven´t - or even if you have and you just want to hear it again - stream Angels the first single to be taken from The xx´s forthcoming second album Coexist right here. It´s pretty amazing:

Beach House

If you haven't already seen it, here's the official vid to Beach House's beautiful new single 'Lazuli' - the song's the second cut to be taken from Bloom and Lazuli itself has already been hyped about for it's vinyl release this Record Store Day. So have a nice day everybody, love from a hyped up Beach House fan.

Drops

If there was ever a track to say 'welcome to British summer time everybody', I think this would be it. This is the new release from Drops, it's called You Have My Word and it's coming out at the end of the month on a DIY label from my home town called heat death records. It's such a pretty track fitting in nicely somewhere between the happy folky vibes of Stornoway and a more English-y Summer Heart, with a bit of Tunng thrown in there for good measure. Good mix yes? Though I am avoiding the term 'folktronica' as much as possible, that's pretty much what it is. Stream the track below and see what you think:

Gold Panda

Gold Panda's recent hyperactivity hopefully means there's a follow up to Lucky Shiner in the works. Today the UK producer released the eastern-inspired 'Financial District' & 'Mountain' as a double-single which you can stream below:

As incredibly dumb as it sounds I have so much respect for Gold Panda. I think I only started the conversion from appreciating electronic music to becoming completely fixated with it when I first heard him in like 2009, I was only 17 and that's when I first started to realise the potential of music like that. So when I heard this remix of Night Works 'I Tried So Hard'I freaked out because of how bloody fantastic it is. Grab the free DL whilst you can:

CocoRosie

I'm welcoming the return of CocoRosie with open arms. This is their new single We Are on Fire, released early June it's produced by TV on the Radio's Dave Sitek who's ever so cleverly stamped his mark on the record with the whole kind of trip-hop element. To me CocoRosie are legendary, I have never heard and probably will never hear anyone or anything comparable to these two sisters, I've spent my teenage life growing up with their crazy beautiful music and this is why the song below is one of the most exciting things I've ever put on here. I hope you like it too:
