20syl

I've noticed this pretty amazing video for the new 20syl track doing the rounds lately, I watched it in full for the first time about 3 hours ago and have had it on loop since. Pretty simple; but so, so pleasing to watch - I thoroughly reccomend.

Tree

Oliver Nickell made this track with his friends when he was just 18: "we were just kids attempting to make the music we wanted to hear". This turned out to be the track that sparked the attention of infamous label R&S, and from that Tree was born. The track features Beat Culture and Lena Kuhn and now it's been transformed into a short film - "the first proper attempt at visually resurrecting Tree Collaborations". So if you've got a spare 6 minutes, it's worth checking out.

K. Raydio & Psymun

LucidDreamingSkylines is the culmination of a year-long collaboration between Minneapolis producer Psymun & singer/song-writer K. Raydio which came out last month. Sweet Dreamz is the second track to be taken from the 16-track album and it's easy to succumb to its beautiful haze, especially with this stunning video to match. Despite this track being a definite stand out, I'd thoroughly recommend that whole album too - grab it here.

Keebo

The days are getting longer, the sun is out more, my skin's becoming less pale by the day - all of that kind of calls for music like this. I'm so excited by this I even kind of feel like one of those girls dancing into the sunset (you'll get what I mean if you watch the video), it's pretty impossible to dislike Keebo to be honest.

SOHN

I needn't describe to you how good this is, I don't really think I possess the vocabulary to do so either. All you need to know is that it's SOHN doing a remix of this beautiful song, so it's pretty much impossible for it to be anything but completely brilliant.

FTSE

I've dragged myself away from the Vondelpark album to post about FTSE's CNT HLP MSLF, it's a pretty amazing track that already did the blog rounds a couple days back, but I missed out on it due to Polish Easter family festivities. So I guess I'm just here to reiterate how good it is really, the video kind of makes it too, so enjoy.

Deptford Goth

Today, Deptford Goth released his hugely anticipated debut LP Life After Defo, an album I'm only a couple of listens in to and can already predict heavy involvement in those end-of-year-lists.
A long with that comes the release of a video for Feel Real, it's one of the album highlights, and I don't really believe any form of symbolisation or representation of this track could do it enough justice. But it is rather stunning, and even includes the lyrics so you can sing along.

Team Morale

Kent duo Team Morale have just announced their debut EP Forteana for February 18th, and with that comes this beautiful self-made video for Aurora. The track itself feels inspired by the sublime, the kind that encourages unknown longings - the quality in music that hits me most I think. Funnily enough,  'Forteana' is a word that expresses a belief in the unusual, the unexplainable and the magical - I'd say Aurora fits within that definition pretty well. Enjoy.

Cosmo Sheldrake

I watched this video the other day of Cosmo Sheldrake performing his track Prefusify in a laundrette and it completely blew me away. Laundrette performances should probably become a common thing, I'd be completely down for that - imagine the business they'd get! Anyway, you should go watch this video now. Enjoy.

Max Cooper

Producer Max Cooper has been collaborating with Braids (a personal favourite of mine) on his latest track. Titled Pleasures, it's an amalgam of intricate production and drawn out vocals, it's music that literally pulsates as if it had a life of its own.  Below is the stunning official video; created by Belgian animator Cédric de Smedt:

ATLAS

You may remember me talking about how wonderful ATLAS is a few weeks back; well, here I am again. Below is the intriguing video for her new single Eat Me, it's a little messed up in a kind of beautiful way but it captures the essence of the song perfectly. Stubborn Heart

Becoming Real

Here's the official video to Becoming Real's fantastic new single Slow Memory, featuring some pretty sweet vocals from Alice of Sunless '97. I keep trying to think of something more intelligent to say about this, but all I can actually think of is "shit this is so sick", so that's my verdict. Purity Ring

Here's another one from the debut album which is released next month. DON'T FORGET. I actually prefer this to Odebear, it reminds me a lot more of earlier releases like Ungirthed and Lofticries, and they're like two of the best songs ever. Stream below and see what you think:

Vondelpark

A word of warning, expect there to be many, many Vondelpark related posts in the near future as the R&S based act is soon to release their first full-length LP. I'm completely in love with this project, and if you haven't yet heard the NYC Stuff & NYC Bags EP or the Sauna EP then I'd highly recommend you do because I can't emphasise enough how good they actually are. So I'm glad that this post has finally given me the excuse to feature one of my favourite songs of all time:

ghostandthesong

It seems like Matthias Kanik's project ghostandthesong already did the whole blogging circuit thing a couple of months back but somehow I completely missed it. So I was pretty pleased to find a message about it in my inbox today cause otherwise I'd have been out of the loop on some pretty great music. His latest EP is called Escapes and is out via the brilliant Bad Panda Records. It's nice and poppy with a pretty experimental edge - surrealistic-pop I guess? It's a really interesting example of the lesser known music scene in Berlin at the moment too. Playing below is the equally surreal video to my favourite cut from the EP 'Ou Inme'.
