Deptford Goth
Today, Deptford Goth released his hugely anticipated debut LP Life After Defo, an album I'm only a couple of listens in to and can already predict heavy involvement in those end-of-year-lists.
A long with that comes the release of a video for Feel Real, it's one of the album highlights, and I don't really believe any form of symbolisation or representation of this track could do it enough justice. But it is rather stunning, and even includes the lyrics so you can sing along.
J.Francis
Brisbane's J.Francis makes sultry dreampop warm enough to melt the coldest of hearts. The tracks below are taken from the debut album Almost, which is available for download at a name-your-price basis over on bandcamp right now. Take a listen below:
Bronson
Experimental dream maker Bronson returns today with the release of Gulch, a 7 track album that sounds like a direct musical translation of my own unconscious mind. Playing below is the unbelievably beautiful Ascent, which I cannot describe because I'm pretty much lost for words.

CocoRosie
I remember first listening to CocoRosie when I was like 16 or something and being completely blown away. Not sounding too soppy, I think they really opened my mind to what music could be, and so they're a duo that really need no introduction. Along with premièring a new track, they've announced a release date for their 5th album Tales of a Grass Widow - which I'm super excited about - out May 27th. Stream Gravediggress below:
Bronson
The extremely talented Bronson is back with a rather minimal but beautiful instrumental release titled Made Up. You can download the album on a name your own price basis over at Bandcamp & the whole thing is available to stream below:
Audio Dope
Below is the official video for Swiss Producer Audio Dope's single Power to Believe. Watching this video and hearing this music is making me feel nostalgic as hell, I can't get enough. You can go download this, along with 12 other tracks completely free over on Bandcamp after watching this:
Holy Other
Finally, Holy Other's debut album is here. Well, not quite - it's released next week (28/07) via TriAngle Records but I think this may already be one of my favourite albums of the year. But don't fret about the wait, cause we got it available to stream in its entirety right below :

Seapony
Seapony first stole my heart when I heard this:
So if you're looking for an upbeat summery fix, you can't really go wrong with this band. The below track is called 'What You Wanted', it's taken from their upcoming second album Falling which is set for release this September via Hardly Art. Simple and catchy melodies accompanied by melting vocals, sometimes it's all you want.
Grizzly Bear
Grizzly Bear are just one of those bands that are so bloody good that I've never met a person who doesn't like them. And even if I did I'd be like 'what...are you alright'? So joy behold the return of Grizz and the promise of a new album (title TBA) with this new track 'Sleeping Ute', I don't have to say much cause you know it's gonna be great anyway. Furthermore, there's a giant tour coming this Autumn with visits round the US, UK, Europe and NZ, so we're all happy - see here for deets and dates. Here's a dodgy YouTube rip, enjoy:
Natureboy
The below track "Blow To The Head" is a preview from Natureboy's sophomore album The Sweep which is set to be released fairly soon. There's a Victoria Legrand kind of thing going on with Sara Kermanshahi's voice that has left me quite smitten. If you've not heard of Natureboy before, I'd highly recommend giving last year's self-titled debut album a listen. Stream the new track here:

Jewellers
Electronic duo Jewellers released their second full-length the other day, it's called Lakeswimmer and I absolutely love it for two reasons: the first being that I'm a sucker for music that makes my mind feel like it's floating somewhere very distant from here, and secondly because this entire album is so interesting it makes me question what reality is; I don't even know if I'm real anymore - in a good way of course. Anyway, this is absolutely beautiful and I feel very privileged to be writing about it, I feel that this album kind of epitomizes what this blog is all about. You can stream the whole album below but I'd strongly recommend purchasing it here - my personal favourites are ThirtySix and Easier Together. Enjoy:
Purity Ring
Much to my excitement, Purity Ring announced earlier this month that their debut LP will be released on the 24th of July via 4AD. When I think of Purity Ring I always think of how much I love them, I'd never usually contemplate using the word 'love' with regards to a band I've only ever heard 3 songs of prior to this track. But you have to love them, cause they're music can do this weird thing with your mind where you feel ecstatically creeped out listening to their weird glitch-stepping (forgive me for inventing/using that term), something which I doubt could ever be replicated in any other form. So the track below is called Obedear, unfortunately the download limit has maxed out on soundcloud, but there's a free DL link here (via Pitchfork).
GRANT
Remember that great track we posted the other week? As promised here's the debut full-length from GRANT; released via Relief in Abstract on the 20th of this month it's now available on a name your price basis below, it's glorious.
Stanley Duke
Spring is upon us, this means my love for folk music has emerged from its wintery sleep and is blossoming once more. This guy's called Stanley Duke and he makes some pretty nice music, perfect for doing anything that involves doing nothing. There's a whole 8-track album titled Animal Crackers via his bandcamp which is completely free to download, so I suggest you get this on some kind of portable device and go and find somewhere to lie with a beautiful view for a couple of hours:
The Shins
The Shins are finally coming back into our lives, March 20th will see the release of their first LP in nearly 5 whole years, titled Port of Morrow this is probably going to be one of the most hyped about releases of the year. Here's September, the B-Side to the new single 'Simple Song' which will be released this Valentines Day. On top of all this, the band will be touring the UK this March, I'm there. Enjoy:

M83
M83 is LA-based French artist Anthony Gonzalez. I've already posted about a pretty amazing track off the forthcoming album which is simply titled 'Intro', but now you can stream the entirety of the forthcoming album 'Hurry Up, We're Dreaming'; courtesy of Urban Outfitters before it's release date next week (Oct 18th), here:
