Summer couldn't come soon enough with this absolutely marvellous track from Manchester's Begin. Until it does, all I can do is imagine how perfect this would sound somewhere on the shore of the Balearic Sea. Listen to Love Interlude above.

Plastic Plates

As it's quarter past 12 on a Friday morning it seems fitting to post something for the weekend. This comes from New York music-maker Felix Bloxsom, otherwise known as Plastic Plates & is released today via Sweat it Out.

This is quite simply beyond my idea of perfection - there's nothing else to add.

Maricopa

It's completely beyond me how I've only just managed to grace my ears with Maricopa's sound. These two tracks are set to be released on vinyl via new imprint Fools & Fables, which I'm going to pre-order as soon as I finish this post (as only 300 of them are being made). Both tracks sound like they were born out of a desire to soothe the soul, I haven't heard anything as perfectly stunning in quite a long time. Jetlag

Belgian production duo Jetlag sent over this absolute stunner earlier today. Elsewhere in the world you are probably still enjoying blue skies and orange sun sets, unfortunately Autumn closes in fast here in England, but Dali serves as a sweet reminder of what the past 3 months have been; and I just can't get enough. Munk

All house music should sound like this. Nigerian Jam comes from German producer Munk, and it kind of sounds like it's been rediscovered from some old mix that's been lying around in the depths of your iPod for years, as it pays homage to Afro-funk and all things wonderful. Wild Heron

These are the rather infectious sounds of Wild Heron, blurring the lines nicely between 90s house and whatever the hell you call the stuff that's floating around at the moment. Listening to this whilst writing university assignments on propaganda in a darkened room is probably the least appropriate context imaginable, but I'm actually having a bloody good time. Octo Octa

This is the kind of House I appreciate the most because of its versitility. Without sounding too lame, it's the kind of track that has one foot on the dance floor and the other in the after party - the balance is perfect. I also kind of think Octo Octa's last release was a little overlooked in 2011, but I'm pretty sure I'll be hearing So Lux just about everywhere this year. Stream below:

Lane 8

 Sometimes house music has a certain euphoric quality to it that you really can't recreate anywhere else & here San Francisco's Lane 8 has proved my point exactly. After releasing a few remixes, For You is his first original single which you can download for free below:

Cream Dream

I heard this track called Get Down being played at a party the other day, my instant reaction was like 'damn this is GOOD!', and this is how I came to know of New York producer Cream Dream. It turns out that he makes a bunch of cool stuff that's consistently good.  Inspired by disco/French House, "late nights and palm trees" (his words not mine) it's really fun in a mid-90s kind of way.

Jeremy Glenn

This is like the coolest thing. Canadian producer Jeremy Glenn has just put out his Box Life EP and it's completely free. This is the title song, perfect for that FRIDAY DISCO FEELING.

Elkaset

I greatly apologise for the lack of posts recently, i'm not too sure what I've been doing for the past 2 weeks but it hasn't involved much exploration of the internet.

Anyway, I'm back and I have with me this extra special track from a new Dublin duo called Elkaset. Their music is super interesting, made from a concoction of analogue synths, samplers, voices and cheap guitars the below track‘Every Night’ is the first sample of their work. I think it's great, it's like a kind of twisted Caribou/Hot Chip concotion; a very defining sound that really sets these guys apart from anything else that's turned up in my inbox recently. I really think these guys are going to take off, so take a listen below:

Py

This is an exciting pairing if ever I saw one - George Fitzgerald;one of the most hyped about House producers of the past couple of years has collaborated with London based singer PY. This one is part of a mixtape that Py will be releasing next month called Tripping on Wisdom, it'll feature collaborations with some of the UK's most talented new DJs such as Damu & Breton. Toyboy & Robin

These two are currently based in my hometown (Manchester UK), they're part of Cool Kid Music, the brand was founded last year and plays host to a pretty cool house night back home, there are plans for a label soon to launch on Beatport and on occasion “Cool Kid” clothing, as you can tell they've been causing a bit of a stir back home.

They've already supported the likes of Kissy Sell Out, Zane Lowe and Casino Times, the duo can also boast being the first ever winners of the Parklife Festival DJ competition. The track below kind of demonstrates why this past year has been so successful.

Out on 17.04.12 this is guaranteed to get you up and dancing - all I want to do is go into some club with an amazing light show and have this turned up to max level so I can dance carelessly through the night. PERFECT. Stream 'Loving You' below, look out for the Strike sample:

Mosket

Mosket are a Leeds/London based duo. They're young, unsigned and they're going to be big. Producing mainly house and post-dubstep, they have a fresh sound, hinting at influences from artists such as Modeselektor, Sepalcure & Burial. It's clear from the ear that these sounds have been put together with such care and attention to detail. Artists like this are pretty much what the South London music scene is all about, it's true say that post-dubstep and house are insanely popular at the moment, and so there is the pending risk of ignorance for the mainstream. Yet the clever merging of the two genres which can be heard in the individual tracks, makes for a unique project. I can't praise these guys enough, they deserve the recognition. Take a listen here:
